Instruction
The majority of competitive small-bore rifle shooting in the UK is carried out in the Prone position ie; lying down.
Members shoot in Individual and Team Competitions at National and County levels, under National Small-bore Rifle Association (NSRA) Rules & Regulations, throughout the year as well as Open meetings during the summer months.
Competitions are organised to ensure that Teams and Individuals compete against each other on an equal basis with the aim of encouraging improving standards.
In addition there are specific competitions for Women and Juniors
Activities
Training
Instruction in the safe handling of firearms and how to shoot is provided to newcomers.
Coaching sessions and training days are held to help members improve.
The N.S.R.A is the governing body for Competitive Small-bore Target shooting in the UK.It is based at the National Shooting Centre site at Bisley Surrey.
The I.S.S.F the International Shooting Sports Federation is the body formally recognised by the IOC as the sole controlloing body of International Amateur Shooting Sports.
